Hi,I have a data frame with a character variable named label that has string values such as "a; e; c; d" "c; b" "a; b; e: "a"and so forth. There are 511 records. Basically, label has all combinations of the letters a - i taken 1 at a time, 2 at a time, ..., 9 at a time. I need to find all records that have the combination, say "a; e" as part of the string. So this could be "a; e" itself, "a; e; b", "a; c; e", "a; b; c; e", etc. And then all records with, say, "b; c; d" and so on. How can I do this? Any suggestions? Thanks, Walt -- ________________________ Walter R.
