Thread-topic: locator()
Hello,

I've just installed S+ 8.0 after using version 7 for a long while.

Under 7, I routinely used the locator() function to retrieve points from
a variety of plotted data. I can't seem to get this to work under S+
8.0. Does anyone else have this problem and do you have a solution?

To be specific, I've plotted an x and y vector. Then -- as I previously
undertook this exercise -- I typed the following at the command prompt:

> l <- locator()

I'd then move the mouse over the graphsheet and the arrow would be
replaced by a "+" and I would click the points of interest. When done
I'd hit "enter" and the command prompt would return and l would be a
list of x and y coordinates corresponding to my clicking on the
graphsheet.

Now, under 8.0, I repeat the command above but immediately get the
command prompt back and no opportunity to select points on the plot.

Any ideas?

Thanks, Chris.
