ROBERT CULVERHOUSE Dr. Robert Culverhouse is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics in Medicine in the Division of General Medical Sciences with a joint appointment in the Division of Biostatistics. He received a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Washington University, and received training in Statistical Genetics through a NIMH post-doctoral training fellowship in the Washington University School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry. Dr. Culverhouse is the Assistant Director of the Department of Medicine Biostatistics Consulting Center. The center provides general biostatistical consultation for design of studies, sample size calculations, data management planning, statistical analyses, grant and manuscript preparation and critical review, and statistical computing. Dr. Culverhouse’s research interests include developing methods to model and detect genetic interactions (epistasis), developing methods appropriate for genome scans for genetic association, and improving methods to analyze microarray data. |
