Hongyan Huang is a Statistical Data Analyst in the Division of Biostatistics since June 2008. Prior to that, she had been with the Department of Psychiatry at Washington University since 2003 and worked as a Statistical Analyst for several NIMH funded projects aimed at identifying the genetic and environmental influences associated with childhood psychiatric disorders. From 2003 to 2008, she co-authored five peer-reviewed journal papers in the field of child psychiatry. She received her Ph.D. in Operations Management from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2002, and her M.Sc. in Applied Probability and Statistics in 1994 from Central China Normal University.

As the main analyst for the Genetic Epidemiology Network of Salt Sensitivity (GenSalt) project, Dr. Huang is responsible for the data management, quality control, and data analysis for the phenotypic and genotypic data. Her duties include documenting the operations pertaining to the datasets, implementing the data analyses determined by Data Coordinating and Analysis Center (DCAC), creating the analysis reports, and updating the GenSalt DCAC website.
