This 18-month, 43-credit master’s program is designed to prepare students for exciting careers in Biostatistics and Statistical Genetics.  We seek those with undergraduate or higher degrees in

quantitative sciences (mathematics, statistics, computer science, biomedical engineering or a closely

related field).   

 

Program coursework includes

 

¨ SAS®, Biostatistics I, Biostatistics II, Study Design and Clinical Trials, Ethics & Legal Issues, Genetic Epidemiology, Bioinformatics, Internship, Biostatistics Consulting Lab, Thesis or 2 Advanced Electives

    

Electives & Pathways

 

All students are required to take courses from an approved portfolio.  Two pathways are offered with different areas of concentration.

 

¨ Biostatistics Pathway: Epidemiology, Survival Analysis, Advanced Topics in Biostatistics and Randomized Controlled Trials

 

¨ Statistical Genetics Pathway: Human Linkage and Association Analysis, Population Genetics, Computational Statistical Genetics, and Research Methods for Genomic Studies of Human Disease

 

 

Faculty

 

Internationally renowned faculty from multiple disciplines will teach, advise, and mentor the students,

providing opportunities for multidisciplinary approaches to the Internship and Thesis.
