The Taproom typically has six regular beers on tap plus three or four specialties. The regular beers are pilsner, oatmeal stout, pale ale, cask- conditioned pale ale, hefeweizen, and filtered wheat. (The hefeweizen is an unfiltered American wheat beer.)
Among the seasonals/specialties are doppelbock, barleywine, Welsh ale, Vienna, Dunkelweizen, Bavarian Weizen, Irish stout, Vienna lager, Dortmunder, Helles,
IPA, porter, Koelsch, raspberry wheat, brown ale, and Belgian Dubbel.

- Dave Miller, author of several of the best books about homebrewing and lifetime member of the St. Louis Brews, was the first brewmaster of the Taproom. He is now brewing in Nashville.

50 beers on tap and a similar number in bottles. On 22 June 1997, the
draft selection included Rodenbach Grand Cru, Anchor's Old Foghorn, Spaten
Oktoberfest, several Bavarian wheat beers, and a doppelbock. The bottled-
beer selection includes quite a few Belgian beers.

The pub is attached to the liquor store. As of early October, the draft
selection included Paulaner Pilsner, Munich lager, Hefeweizen, and Salvator
Dopplebock; Fuller's IPA and ESB; Beamish stout; Newcastle brown; Tabernash
Octoberfest.
There is a limited food selection, but the there are free chicken wings
during Monday Night Football.

141 Liquors has changed its name and moved from its location at 141
and Manchester. It is now in a shopping center on the south side of Manchester,
1/4 mile east of Highway 141.
A St. Louis Brews member visited the shop in August 1997 and was disappointed
in the beer selection. I visited about the same time and thought the selection
was okay. However, it certainly isn't up to the level of Starrs.
D&J Liquor at McKelvey and Dorsett. This store is supposed to carry every bottled beer available in St. Louis.
The club meets the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 at the Maplewood Community Center near Manchester and Big Bend. (map) Yearly dues are $25 and each member or guest contributes $3 (or beer) at each meeting. The club has summer and fall picnics and a homebrewing competition every December.
